DON’T BE A TOURIST BE AN EXPLORER!

We are a small and local tour company in Krakow.  As locals, historians, archaeologists, and licensed guides, we wanted to show the real and unusual spirit of Krakow. The core of its existence is history, architecture, local culture, art, and food– plus all the good gossip.

MEET OUR GUIDES

Bartek

Hi everyone! My name is Bartek and very often I introduce myself as Bart, like Bart from the Simpsons show. I was born and raised in Krakow. I studied archaeology and history, but I find archaeology as a nice hobby and for being a history teacher one must have a lot of patience for children, that’s why I became a city guide. I’ve gone through the special preparation course for professional guides and then I obtained a license to guide in Krakow. So, from March 2015 on I guide people and I love my job! For me, in fact, it is like a mission. Of course I am also a traveler myself and perfectly know that life is too short for a terrible guide. Cheers!

Emily

Hi, I’m Emily and I can’t wait to show you around my second home.  I was born in the United States but have been going back and forth from Krakow for over a decade now- because you guessed it- my husband was born and raised here.

I’m also the author of Emily’s Guide to Krakow and the voice behind the series “500 Things to do in Krakow” that you can find on TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook Just look up @KrakowExplorers

In 2022 I decided to come back for good to Poland and work on my Polish citizenship- plus finally get to know all my new nieces and nephews, so I am thrilled to once again be able to show you some of my favorite places, and share some my favorite stories about Krakow (especially the gossip!) The saddest part of my tour is when we have to say goodbye- because I feel like we have become friends along the way.  I hope to see you soon! And remember if you ever need to get in touch with me, I’m available at emilysguidetokrakow@gmail.com or by WhatsApp +16672562069 or iMessage at +48690606895

Agnieszka

Hi everyone! I’m Agnieszka, but you can call me Aga. I have two Bachelor’s degrees: in Spanish and Tourism. I first came to Krakow in 2021 from a small town in the Silesia region of Poland. I fell in love with the city so much I decided to stay- so don’t worry I’m not planning to run away from here anytime soon! I’ve always wanted to become a tour guide and here I am – showing you hidden gems of the royal city of Krakow. I will tell you where we, locals, tend to spend our free time away from the city rush. I know the best places to eat and drink, so don’t hesitate to ask me about my personal favourites. See you soon at one of my tours! You can always get in touch with me if you need any help or tips, my Instagram is @agnieszkarzeska or my  WhatsApp/iMessage is +48536952469. See you soon!

Sɫawek

Friends, welcome to Kraków! I can’t wait to see you and guide you in this fascinating city. There is so much to show you here! Krakow has a rich history and so many interesting, funny but also controversial traditions. Feel free to ask for more details along the way– I will be more than happy to share from my long guiding experience, anything and everything about this beautiful place.  So, join me and let me show you a different side of Krakow, filled with stories and legends that you would remember forever.

Chris

As Indiana Jones said: ‘You want to be a good archaeologist… you’ve got to get out of the library!’. I believe that history can be interesting for everybody, so I will always go the extra mile to break the stereotypes about boring scientists who, as many people believe, are sitting alone in their Ivory Tower. I am sure we will learn a lot from each other! So, let’s go to explore Krakow together!

Magda

Hi, I’m Magda! Soon I will tell you more about myself, but currently I am hunkered down in my office writing my doctorate thesis! Hopefully I will see you on a tour very soon though.

Dima

Hello! I’m Dima, your Krakow tour guide. I’ve been living in Krakow since 2013, where I completed my studies at the Jagiellonian University. During my student years, I simply fell in love with this city. At some point, I decided to become a professional tour guide and in 2016, I obtained my official guiding license from the Krakow Federation of Tour Guides. I love sharing stories about Krakow’s past in a fun and entertaining way and hope that every person who joins me on a walking tour will experience the same excitement and enjoyment when strolling through the historic streets of Krakow’s Old Town or Jewish Quarter of Kazimierz.

Damian

Hi, I’m Damian! Armed with a history degree and a love for Kraków, I’m your go-to guide for discovering the city’s hidden gems. I organize food tours that will make your taste buds dance, beer tours that will introduce you to local brews, and vodka tours for those ready to dive into Poland’s spirited traditions. When I’m not leading tours and sharing stories, you’ll find me at my shop, Ciao Italia, in the local market. Besides serving up Italian delicacies, it’s also kind of a tourist information point—because I’m always there to help out wandering travelers, just like Kraków Explorers!
